  The work that was done at my home on Monday, August 4, 2014 was good. It was to repair a small leak in the pipe that brings water to the toilet. The pipe was replaced. My problem is that I was grossly and intentionally over charged. I was charged $400 for a job that according to other professional plumbers should have cost $100 to $125. I was also ripped off an additional $50. Craig came into my home telling me I need to replace all the valves on my pipe. He said they would soon start to leak and burst. He said this would happen without warning and the damage would be extensive. He explained, in great detail, about the pressure of the water and he explained how much water would be instantly released when the valves burst. He said he could do the entire job plus the leak I had called him to repair for $1,600. He spent a good deal of time telling me how much damage would be caused when the other pipes busted. He also spoke about me purchasing his maintenance plan. After he completed the work that I had called him for (approximately 20 minutes) he said he heard dripping and saw a leak. This leak just happened to be where he said it would start and he said he thought he heard another one. He went through the whole thing about me needing immediate replacement. I was sure he was lying so I told him “No way, I’ll turn the main lever off.” To which he said he would stop the leak (that I believe he caused) for $50. I felt I had no choice so I said go ahead. After Craig left, I called another plumber to check the pipes that Craig claimed were in immediate danger. The new plumber found my pipes and valves to be in good condition and not in need of anything. However, he did replace a pipe similar to the one Craig worked on for $100. I showed the new plumber the work Craig had done and asked how much that type of job would cost. He said $100 to $125. When I told him how much I paid, he became angry and told me I was ripped off.
